Persecute Bottlenecks That Enslave Customers

The essence of this chapter:

  1. The primary point: Every time you remove a bottleneck in one area, that just moves the bottleneck to the next most problematic area. Look for this with enthusiasm.
    1. Remember, you must quantify everything in order to a) know how you are doing, and b) measure improvements once you implement them. For every obstacle you remove and every improvement made, the entire operation becomes more efficient and customer-friendly. Measuring your customer thru-put allows you to watch your progress.
      1. Customer Feedback System – what is yours? This must be defined and fine-tuned as the feedback is fodder for all future continuous improvement efforts. Getting personal feedback always heads the list.
