This chapter is primarily for those operations that have clients that oversee their contract, in addition to customers.

  1. Establish a Marketing Committee with the client, ideally 5-10 people. Ask to have representation from the different departments within the client’s organization. Don’t be elitist – include departments like custodial and security.
    1. Maintain a formal agenda that you can update and send out to the members after each meeting. Make sure you follow up on all issues or you will quickly lose credibility.
      1. Include a food tasting as part of every meeting. Get feedback on menu ideas and promotions, both before and after they happen.
        1. Ask for help in marketing new ideas and promotions. Give the committee ownership of changes and ideas wherever you can, even if the ideas are your own.
